Why celebrate 10,000 days?
It's a big round number that arrives at a surprising moment, at about 27 years and 4½ months old, when nothing else in particular is happening. Some people throw a "10K day" party, write a letter to their future self or plan something for their 20,000th day. Because hardly anyone knows their date, it also makes a good surprise for a friend.

How it's worked out
We add 10,000 days to your date of birth, treating the day you were born as day 0, the same way your age in years starts at 0. If you'd rather count your birth day as day one, your 10,000th day is the day before the date shown.
